Riding set2rise this weekend - looks like rain at the moment.Anyone know how the course holds up in the wet?
I'm going to ignore metcheck for now and just just look at met office; things look OK according to them!
Hopefully the course will stay OK - it's so dry at the moment. One short section (which was, however, still damp last weekend) I imagine will turn into a bog if we have much rain and a number of riders going through it, but that doesn't last too long, and another off-camber climb that will get fun when nice and slippy.
Before the eternal what tyres question....Over winter I've used Bonty mud-x's (and if damp they'll be coming with me) but have been on Race Kings recently but a mate I ride with has used smb8's all winter/spring....
Do people still use MetGuess, the worlds most unreliable weather forecasting site? 😯
Well if it get 'that' wet then I'll be bring my High rolers and minion that I brought for the Morzine trip in a month. will proably be better than my SB8's.
Course holds up quite well though.
Still looking forward to it even if its a mud fest.
it's a bank holiday, of course it's going to rain
Metcheck is ridiculous now! When I checked earlier it reckoned it was going to be 3 degrees this evening, with a UV index of 8 between 0100 and 0359 tomorrow morning.
Met Office gets it for me now! There's racing at Margam this weekend, for the last 3 events there's never been anything but absolutely blistering sunshine there, so I'm confident!
