found this while foraging for sweet chestnuts near 'rollercoaster 2' in brickhill/aspley/woburn,
for those of you who know woburn but not the rollercoaster, its down the sunken lane next to brickhill
church and left at the bottom,

The sweet chestnuts are everywhere currently, got any good recipes ?
The Ski factory finally closed down about 18 months ago, and is slowly decaying, (unlike their pots it would seem) about 2 miles away from me in Cheshire.
just going to roast them over the open fire once they have matured a bit,(stocking hanging in the bolier house)
couldn't believe i had not noticed them before on the trail, they start at the carpark next to the church and i collected them all the way to the rollercoaster then down to the bottom and back up rollercoaster 2' ,
must have been a good 500ms of trees !, FREE FOOOOOOOOOD
