Who owns a quiet geared full susser?
If so what make is it.
Ive just come back from 2 days at Afan which was soooooooooooooo good 😀 apart from my Marin sounding like a bag of nails!
don't get me wrong the ride was fantastic apart from the noise 😥
maybe I need to bubble wrap everything!
Service and chainstay protector?
You can run a simple chain device. My 5 Spot is silent.
Most mono/box tubing will be loud anyway.
Chain slap really annoys me too, hence I have a chainstay protector, E13 LG1+ and velcro patches anywhere the chain may contact the frame. Also Sram or shadow mechs will be quieter.
Yeah just get it serviced. Stops all chain slap.

Think the front mech has a lot to do with it. Maybe?
Chainstay is wraped with a innertube.
The chain can slap on the seat stay too! A front mech will never be really quiet though, singlespeed for silent.
