..I've got a few hugely amateur, but pretty scenic pics of you both riding from Bynack More down to The Saddle. Give me a shout and I'll send them across.
Glad you headed down from The Saddle, the climb up to Cairn Gorm was pretty steep and wet, you wouldn't have enjoyed it much ๐
If they headed along Strath Nethy they're probably still there after having comitted Hari Kiri with a Mountain Morph
Aye they did ๐ Ooops. I may have pointed out the path on the map.
We descended together from Bynack More (we were on foot) and down to The Saddle.
Parted ways as they headed down to Strath Nethy and we headed up the dank slopes to Cairn Gorm.
We'd been out for about 7 hours and covered about 16 miles over 3 peaks, so you can imagine how it went down when I suggested "jogging" down the road back to where we'd left the car since we were going to be late for a ceilidh in Nethy Bridge ๐
In the end, a couple of lads driving down from the Cairngorm car pack obviously spotted how done in we looked and offered a lift. Saved the day really
a gentleman would have offered to jog down the road and returned with car to collect the other half.. ๐
Haha, it was another 3-4 miles away! I was broken!
We only popped out for a stroll to clear a hangover and ended up on an epic.
I wasn't very popular ๐
You, sir, are a bad man! I would ask for this thread to be removed as they will be hunting you down for sending them down the non existent path in Strath Nethy. It is a work of fiction. Quite why they improved the path on Bynack Mor baffles me when Strath Nethy is so utterly pish!
Oh no!
We met on the way up Bynack More and did a bit of route planning together. They pointed out the Saddle, which would mean they could link up Bynack More and Cairn Gorm, without descending too far. However, as i'm sure you've spotted, the contours up to the summit are quite tight ๐ As an alternative, I suggested that even if they descended to the Saddle and then didn't fancy Cairn Gorm, they could take the path along Strath Nethy back, which was what we had originally planned to do, but still had life in the legs so headed on up Cairn Gorm.
I feel really bad now, they were really nice lads! ๐
We actually mentioned you Sanny, I suggested checking your posts on STW for some routes/inspiration, which they already did. You have INTERWEB FAME!
"were" being the operative word. I wouldn't feel too bad. They are probably too broken to consider extracting revenge.......YET!
Jeez, you mentioned me, am I know being sucked into your web of deceipt and going to find a lynch mob at my door? I'm intrigued to know what interweb fame I might have? You must have been scraping the bottom of the barrel if my name got brought up in conversation!
If they path built there, it would make for a lovely ride as it's actually quite scenic on a warm summer's evening.
