OK, let's run through the diagnostics. Headset? through axles? Bar/stem? All good. happens out of saddle too, so not seat post/seat related.
No cracks in chi-ti frame, good news!
Its on pedal/crank rotation - must be stupid race face cinch cranks that have 47 different ways to unscrew/undo themselves (god, HTII is just so damn good in comparison). Take apart each bit, grease and resemble to the horrific torque levels required. Nope, still clicking...
Hope BB? cost me a 100 quid bloody hope not. Nope, still smooth as butter (shout out for hope 30mm BSA BBs - lovely)
Must be pedals then - 3 yr old DMR Vaults - regularly greased but getting a fair bit of play in the bushings now.
pedals off, replace bushes, good clean everywhere, packed with lovely new grease.
Ahhhh, a click free bike, a super local ride this am and some surprisingly once again lovely feeling pedals.

I have a noise on the turbo, but i'm pretty sure it's a wheel/turbo issue as when i take mine outside with a different wheel, it's silent. It may be indexing/cassette incompatibility etc, but i'm not too worried.
there was a moment on the ride back when I heard the creak come back... NOOOOO!
but it was the cyclist behind me at fault, it was their creaking rotations I was hearing.
Oh, the relief!
I had really bad creaks, especially up hills. Turns out it was just my knees.
Amazing what a little victory like that can do for your morale.
