Any recommendations?
Ideally somewhere that'll feed us (breakfast & evening meal) and has secure bike storage.

You could do worse than the bunk house at the Fountain Inn in Parkend.
Plenty of room in dorms plus a pub serving reasonable pub grub and a fine fry up in the morning. Rumour has it they don't discriminate against the hirsute of aris.
Plus one for Fountain Inn Parkend, great local trails from there too, if you know the area. Kona cafe bike shop just 100m down the road too

Fountain again. Bike friendly, good staff, great trails on the doorstep and geographically helpful (unless only want the cannop centre) as downhill all the way back when legs shot or mechanical gremlins strike. Beer and bar snacks cheap too. Used as a base for regular rides by different local groups and clubs throughout the year. Well worth a call. Happy to recommend as they've always looked after us well regardless of how muddy, or hairy, our arses have been.
Jovial Colliers Inn in Lydbrook is great. Cheap accommodation, friendly owner, great breakfast and a pub! Handy for the trailhead too if that's where you want to ride from.
