Hi all, there's a focus group at Glentress tomorrow night. it's at the peel tower. The innovation is a route finding app. Group attendees will get a years free subscription. Anyone going?
Is following coloured markers now too difficult for people?
Hi DB, 😂, not quite. It's at the mountain bike centre of Scotland's event room at peel tower. As part of their innovations department, they use focus groups to discuss pros and the of products. This time it's a route planning app for anywhere in the UK. Put details such as time, elevation, and it'll plot a ride for you. Good for areas that you don't know. The freebie tonight is a year's subscription...C
Sounds good...but also similar to others. Are we assuming everyone is time crunched and can't look at a map and do some research?
Not trying to knock it, just trying to work out if this is through laziness (not wanting to plot stuff themselves) or if it a genuine aid.
Trailforks kind of does both - but won't recommend a route.
Just wondering what the legalities surrounding these apps are if/when people ride on private ground without permission? Magazines don’t print routes unless they are legally agreed/sanctioned afik
