Ive only ever used original shape Flite saddles since the early 90s, and now I'm about to replace the awful stock saddle on a new bike, I was thinking I should look around rather than just going for the default.

Which current models are most compatible to the classic version? I tried the new shape flies and my bottom wasn't too keen.

They've changed the shape of the original Flite? That's surely some sort of crime.

just get the classic flite that they have re-released. Could try an SLR, which is basically a flite with most of the plastic removed.

New flite takes a bit of getting used to, classic still about though
Gobi suits me too, perhaps my arse isn't that fussy!

Classic flite has been rereleased.

Or the SLR is the same basic shape with all the extraneous bits chopped off.

I used to use a Flite Alpes, still have one, but have since put Gobi on two other bikes and it seems similar in fit to my arse, however your crack is probably different to mine.

I have an original Flite Ti, a Flite Genuine Gel Ti, Flite SLR XC and Flite SLR Carbonio on different bikes....and they all feel invisible when riding.

All my other saddles have a 'presence'...not always pleasant, so I categorise them as OK for road or MTB.

Only the Flites do both well.

Just had the same issue and found the original is still available. No brainer for me and an alright price on wiggle as it is not much more than I paid for them back in 92.
