I know i asked a while ago about pedals but this is slightly different. After the hell of a day I had today, I want to get out on my bike in the mornings sooner rather than later, when I have a couple of hours spare. I usually ride clips but if I walk them to school and push my bike, I can go straight from there.

I need some new trainers anyway so what pedals and shoes are you currently using? Or what combination could you recommend? I know everyone is different etc, just a starting point to browse the online shops. Nearest decent lbs is 20/25ish miles away so a bit difficult to see them.

Haven't set a budget as such, but will probably use PayPal credit to spread the payment to make it a bit more wallet friendly.

Thanks

Howsyourdad - Thankyou very much for your offer. I usually have to get a size 10 as I have wide feet, but i measure a 9. Depends on how wide they are i suppose. Again, a hard one to judge.

Ah ok . They are a small nine  so probably a little small.  Hope you find something and all the best

I’ve got 5-10 elements and have been using them with exotic components flats. Got the 5-10’s in a sale for £50 a while back and the pedals are just under £35 from Carbon cycles.

I have just bought some more flats for my other bike - the Superstar Pedals above, but I will be using them for the first time tomorrow night. They look savage on the pin front and are marginally bigger than the exotics so expecting them to be good.

If you want cheaper pedals the Wellgo MG-1 can sometimes be had for £25 ish. They’re smaller than the above two pedals but they’re still decent enough. Also very light as they are magnesium bodied.
