I'm building up an MTB frame which oddly has a flat mount brake. I found an adaptor so I can use my post mount Deore brake. I've just mocked the calliper onto the bike and only the edge of the rotor is peeking into the calliper
Both the flat mount and the calliper offer side-to-side adjustment, but no front-to-rear adjustment. I can't work out what I'm doing wrong here, I've double checked rotor size is 160mm, the brake pads should cover a lot more of the rotor?

That would make a lot of sense, thank you. So the typical road bike flat mount is positioned for 140mm rotor but this frame is positioned for 160mm rotor, so I need to add an extra 20mm.
There are 140 and 160 native FM versions, with 140 being the most common (requiring a small adapter when running a 160 rotor with a FM caliper).
Your 160 PM adaptor will be assuming it’s a 140 mount, so with it being 160 native, you’ll need to bump up your rotor to 180 as above.

Same with my Cascade - means I'm using a 180mm rear rotor which is OTT but meant I could use my existing MTB calipers.
