anyone got a tundra 2? how does it compare to a gobi? is it much stiffer than one of them and less flexing?
i want a saddle thats similar to the gobi (i think the tundras even narrower than the gobi) but stiffer
guessing with the tundra aimed towards the xc racer etc it would be more rigid and not like the armchair that is the gobi?
Let me know when you've bought one. It looks like a cross between a Gobi and an SLR which could be either really good or quite awful. Have you tried an SLR btw? That's quite lacking in padding though there's enough flex in the chassis to keep it comfortable.
Btw, Fizik used to have a demo saddle programme with bike shops, not sure if they still do. Saddles you could borrow for a few days. That's how I bought the one Fizik on my road bike.

im gonna pop up at dinner see what they got, they do spesh but i didnt get on too well with one of those phenom ones, even though it was nice and stiff i didnt like the cut out area
like you say the fizik tundra looks way more racy than a gobi, and its just as narrow, if a little more narrow i think which would be better for me, not sure it would be wallowy etc it must be pretty stiff etc as im sure xc racers (15 title wins according to fizik site) wouldnt use an armchair type saddle, they always seem to use ones like bricks! hopefully the tundra is somewhere inbetween, and hopefully it would last longer!
ill defo report back if i get one, would love to hear from users of it, i cant really find any forum info on this saddle, where as the gobi is endless amounts of threads
Tundra 2 's are lovely. It is a racier saddle compared to the Gobi but great if you like moving around on the saddle for climbing and such like.
I think there are still Fizik demo saddle centres. Might just be worth a phone around.
Probably not much help but I've just got a fizik aliante xm, it's unbelievably comfortable,best saddle I've had!

ive just been up lbs, they have sdg demos ive borrowed a falcon (though this looks a tad to wide for me) and a duster RL
the duster rl looks very similar IMO to fizik tundra 2 , though dimension wise the width of the fizik is 130mm and the width of the sdg is 140mm, and the fizik is 10mm longer too
so really really not sure! im gonna try the duster tomorrow night see how i fair, i think ill prob not bother with the falcon
if i dont like the duster ill probably take a risk on the tundra2!
FWIW i put the duster rl next to a gobi and it was very very similar to that just not as curved on the side wings, but not far off, its also a bit flatter throughout the length, and its feels more rigid by hand
