I've taken delivery of some lovely looking Shimano Zee cranks and in the box are three plastic bb spacers and two small metal washers. Do I need to fit the spacers or can I do without? Where are the washers supposed to go?

The instructions from shimano suggest that fitting advice should be sought from the supplier! **** all use. The crank arms are anodised ally.

Shimano do not have any tech docs for Zee or new Saint on the site yet.
Surprised you did not get a paper instruction sheet in 17 popular languages in the box.
The 3 plastic shims are for the bottom bracket.
In general, you have 2 on the drive side and one on the left for a 68mm shell and no chain device/e-type mech.
One on the drive side for 73mm shell and no chain device/e-type mech. No spacers needed for 73mm shell with device/e-type.
