Nomad carbon - currently has an rp23 8.5 x 2.5 stroke. I have the opportunity to pick up a ccdb but it's 8.75 x 2.75 - would it work? How would it affect the bike? How much does it cost to get a ccdb resized?

Thanks chaps

worst case the extra length of the shock makes linkages hit bits of frame.

best case it jacks up the BB and steepens the head and seat angles.

I thought ccdb had to be valved for the application they were used on anyway?

I'd also check that the extra diameter of the ccdb won't cause issues with frame clearance around the shock body before spending any money.

You could probably take out the difference in shock length by using offset bushings in the shock mount (which will also keep the BB height the same, but you'd need to take the shock out and cycle the suspension to see where tyre/linkages etc start to hit each other or the frame, especially when it's compressed the extra 1/4 inch.
