Can anyone out there point me to some education or details of qualification for fitness coaching or more specifically, sport performance analysis?

I've got a reasonable amount of informal knowledge picked up over the years but the Olympics has somewhat inspired me to think about how I could formalise this knowledge and use to it help others.

I'm only thinking about local and amateur level but I'm sure there are loads of people out there with HR monitors and aspirations but little idea how best to use them to achieve their fitness goals.

I was hoping to find some courses on iTunes U or some self study courses that I could work though in my own time. I have a full time job and young family so couldn't consider a full time course at this point.

Anyone got any good recommendations?

Read, then re-read Joe Friel's blog, that'll be a good start for base knowledge.
