hi guys
got a day off tomorrow(friday), going to drop kids off at school then got the day to myself, i usally just go around my local pathways, fields, woodland etc as im new to this sport, feeling confident now so im going to try delamere forest as its not far away, any advice, tips directions etc on where to go, park, would be great. many thanks as always
Pop into Twelve50 bikes in Frodsham en route and they'll give you some pointers.
The way marked trails are generally basic and Delamere is a place for the locals who know the cheeky trails. I must have been 30 times now and still couldn't navigate my way around. Parking wise it's easiest to park at the visitors centre as there really isn't anywhere to park for free.
I'm sure people like Graham and Dave Dodd will be along soon to give pointers, they know they area exceptionally well
thanks alot, had a good day. parked where you said on the lodge carpark, it was free today as well :D. didnt no where i was going ended up doing just over 20k, really enjoyed it, definatly going again. weather was great and only came off once ( the mud was deeper than i thought and stopped my bike dead, while i did superman over the bars, nice cut on my finger, but couldnt stop laughing, niether could the bloke walking his dog hahaha. i got home, washed bike, and i think i have a problem with my brakes/pads, will post in separate thread though.
really good afternoon
