For months I've seen barely any stock of this available, either in store or online. A select few places still have it but are charging close to twice the usual rate. All I want is a clean lightly lubricated chain for the dirty months and for such a popular product I dont understand how theyve let stock run out unless they have discontinued it.

If you want a 3.8 litre container of it then your LBS can order you one from Madison as they are in stock. Smaller sizes due back in stock with them at the end of the month.

8oz bottles in stock here.

It's not discontinued, there's a delivery due into the UK in a couple of weeks. Cycling has been ridiculously popular this summer, that's why there's stock issues and why people with stock aren't selling stuff cheap.

Panic over.

I used M-O alternative over the last year and it's made me appreciate how good Finish Line Dry is. Evans stopped selling Finish Line Dry a while ago and I'd still rather pay RRP for the good stuff.

Am rapidly going off Putoline, isn't living up to the hype.

At least with dry lube it's quick and easy to reapply, and once you figure out how long it will last under your particular riding conditions you can plan accordingly. I'm going back to Fenwick's Stealth which seemed to give between 100km and 200km between applications.

I tried Putoline on a multi-day tour and just ended up having to buy a bottle of 3-in-one on day 2 to get me round the rest of the way. Subsequent applications don't appear to be faring much better...

Squirt or Smoove for the win, but it does involve changing when you lube your chain (night before not 5 minutes before).

I tried smoove. It wasn't very good, I think these sorts of lubes are for people who can't be bothered to clean and degrease their chains regularly. The finish line dry is much better.
For the MTB I just use a wet lube year round.

I reckon there's probably a stash of Finish Line lubes in my desk drawer. They could be a gold mine. I shall have a look when I am in the office on Monday.
