As above, off for a weeks holiday over easter and looking for an escape the madness whilst I'm there.... So, whats good in the area?
Nearest Trail centre looks like Brechfa, but would prefer some natural stuff if poss.
Check out this video at Pembrey Country Park, Battle on the Beach was last week-end....amazing!
Also round one of BS MTB cross country series at Pembrey 2nd/3r April
Yeah, Pembrey is probably your best bet if you don't want to go too far. Brechfa is about 30 minutes drive from Ferryside and there's a lot there if you're prepared to go off piste a little.
Pembrey is ace. Loads of nice singletrack, although lots of the forest roads are flooded and its a maze to get around, so not the easiest place to find your way around at the moment, especially as nothing is waymarked.
No official trails, but no ROWs either, so nothing illegal. Lots of walkers/horse riders, especially near the park.
You can ride into the forest from Ferryside, use the Sustrans Path past the airport and then look for singletrack.
Cwm Rhaeaddr is worth a day out.. about 15 miles futher than Brechfa.
One long swoopy singletrack loop... the climb back up is a bit of a grind but worth doing 5 or so laps before you are pooped.
There are also the trails at Trosserch Woods, just the other side of Llanelli.
