I'm sure something could be rigged up with a couple of lolly sticks...

Attach a dirtworker to the front and the rear of the bike, place car battery in frame, position nossles over wheels. Bingo!

Some type of hard-bristled roller brush tucked under the seatstay wishbone and fork crown?

Or maybe have a large camelbak feeding a dynamo-powered jetwasher directed at the top of each tyre, cleaning and spraying as you go.

Or a mixture of the two, if alone they aren't ridiculous enough.

You could carry a tarpaulin round with you to put over any muddy sections before riding over them?

Ride round the really thick mud! ๐Ÿ˜†

If you can't, pick a different trail.

If this is not possible, use the road, but i don't recommend it.

If it's too muddy, stay at home.

Ye olde worlde road bikes used to have some kind of tyre scraper that fixed to the fork crown that skimmed the tyre and knocked glass etc. off before it became a puncture.

Can't think of the correct technical term so can't find an example on Google.

something similar to that "might" skim the mud off....
