Just spoke with Islabikes earlier and they've done some upgrades on the islabikes.. The cnocs are now quite a bit lighter and have better wheels, seat, cranks and pedals.. price has gone up to £199 delivered for the cnoc 14 (other prices i dont know)..
Most importantly they now do a hot pink colour!!

Blurb..

Even though we’ve established ourselves as the lightweight children’s bikes specialists, Isla has not rested on her laurels. Our new models are now up to 20% lighter than previous versions along with some radical new developments in offering a superb child-centered fit.
As many of you know, the contact points where the body meets the bike are where one really appreciates refinements in ‘fit’. The new Islabikes now feature meticulously re-designed components including slimmer saddles and grips and new shaping on the pedals and brake levers. Couple this with some amazing weight-saving upgrades in the wheel and transmission department and you have a child’s bike that really will deliver the best possible experience for this inspired generation of young cyclists.

The price hike will continue to boost the second hand value of the older ones which is nice!

Great bikes - currently have two in the fleet and will be adding a third pretty soon I'm sure.

to still spec a long cage mech so the bottom of the cage hangs down as low as the rim and a chain about 8 links too long on the beinn 20 ? :/

Because it says it in the title and not to alienate anybody by intention, I have three in the fleet currently being used by my three daughters. All hand me downs less the current Beinn. 😮

I am still hoping they use the Mango Orange colour from this prototype on the retail bikes. Think my son would love an Orange Cnoc when he is ready for it next year!

It wouldnt be a stw thread if it didnt offend at least one person.
I just figured its generally fathers buying their kids cnocs that buy islabikes on here.

After seeing the current Islabikes in the flesh a few weeks ago I am itching to upgrade micromtbfixlette from her balance bike. Cue deep breaths and reminding myself not to rush her onto a too big bike too soon.

All depends on her age and how long shes been on a balance bike.
cnoc14 is a 4th birthday present for little miss cloudnine

mtbfix - can't really see how it can be too early to get a bike (if she fits one) My youngest was riding scooters at 12mths, her balance bike at 18mths and a stabilized hotrock at around 2. Rode without stabilizers at 2 & 1/2 and at (almost) 3 still likes to ride her balance bike (and scooters) too.

Just bought a Cnoc14 for Ms Markie Jr at 3 and a quarter. She's been asking for pedals for the past month or so.

I figured she'd go for the pink one, but she wanted a red one, just like Angeline Ballerina's!

The Cnoc 16 looks like it has little Kenda SB8s. How cute is that? She can have the same tyres as me!

I have just ordered a small beinn 20 for the youngest. Although its gone up to 299 from 249, its now free delivery and they come with kenda small block 8's. IIRC that means its only 18 quid more once you factor in a knobbly tyre change and delivery.

We've got 2 x Beinn 20 and a Beinn 26 in our shed, much loved. Am going to take great pleasure in having a new headset fitted to the little Beinn 20, has provided years of pleasure to my tribe, deserves some tlc.
