Hello looking for recommendations for a fat tyre for front wheel on a rigid 29er. Currently running 2.1 wtb looking to go 2.35/2.4 on the front to help take some of the sting out. Bike used for xc only..cheers

The Ardent 2.4 is far from huge even on a Flow rim ๐Ÿ˜ก

Conti' 2.4 X King seems to be working well at the moment.

I wouldn't class myself as a connoisseur of tyres but I've had a Kenda Nevegal up front on my rigid 29er for the last year and have absolutely no complaints about it. Lots of grip, enough cushioning to be getting along with if you run it at the correct pressure and hardly any punctures.

RR 2.4"

Not heavy, perfectly good grip in most situations.
Nice fat profile on a 30mm rim (c.60mm width).

Go half-fat.

Surly or Salsa fork, 80mm rim, and 4" tyre at 8psi.

You'll not look back.

2.4 Racing Ralph's here, on Niner steel fork. Nice combination. Best I've tried in fact.

Chunky monkey for the best value- on a p35 rim has plumped up nicely but fat frontage is addictive so just taken delivery of a knard!
