Seen Doddy at GT followed Lewis Buchanan down the Matador at Inners for about 3 secs until he disapeared into the distance i was having an off day ๐
i rode past Rolf Harris in Shepherds Bush a few months ago
I need to ride more or change my routes! I've never seen anyone famous.
Nearly ran Kevin Whately over at Woburn, nice dogs IIRC.
Found out Jason Kenny lives round the corner from me the other week. Does that count?
Mid 90's rode think I rode with Sir Chris Hoy and Craig McLean when they were both based in Edinburgh think they may have been ridng for the University cycle team at the time. Seem to remember that Hoy's thighs were massive rode with them for a few miles then they went a different route, nice guys.
In Thatlondon ...
I once told the Six Million Dollar man ,that one of the brake lights on his Porsche wasn't working.
He said thank you. ๐
Saw Craig Charles waving at me once,so I waved back and shouted hello.
He was waving at the taxi behind me ๐ณ
I see Kate Middleton a fair amount along with Prince William every so often. She used to live in my village so I used to see them on the Sunday morning ride popping into the Spar. Prince William would drop in with his helicopter every so often too.
On a bike - no idea, everyone looks the same.
Off the bike - Hmm...
The drummer from The Beloved who also happens to manage Radiohead, at a party. The host was a very good friend of Michael Hutchence.
I've walked past Louis Theroux in the street outside my office but that's no surprise as I work next to a five star hotel. In my line of work I've bumped into Kiera Knightly and the gappy toothed Welsh lass from Torchwood and have met Terry Gilliam. It was all I could do not to have a Wayne's World moment in front of the latter.
I've also met quite a few famous opera singers too. Oh and I once dated a girl who appeared briefly on one of the Vet reality programmes a while back.
Gee Atherton's stunt double, Oli Beckinsale, assorted DH luminaries, MBUK's Mr.Dodd and the one who looks like a werewolf, all around Cannock.
Off the bike, Ian Hislop, Gordon ****ing Ramsay, the footballer bloke who's married to Fern Brittan/Cotton/whoever, Bonnie Tyler, some of the Nolans, a regional TV presenter, Duke of Kent, Geoffery Howe, Nigel Lawson & Princess Anne.

They never flag me down to say hello either ๐
Eric Pollard in Sowerby bridge. Also rode past Christa Ackroyd in Hebden (although not sure she counts)
Not at all bike related but...I stayed a few nights at a clothing optional beach in Mexico - one of the Spice Girls was also staying there.
Lovely views.
not Sporty Spice then?
erm Jude Law and Josie Dew also. i'm not very observant either.
extra points if the "celeb" is on a bike too?
I was blazing down the Walna Scar Road last year (may have been the year before - memory isn't what it used to be, before it was sanitised anyway - the road not my memory), and pulled up for breather part way down right in the path of (almost hit actually) Steve Coogan on his way up (walking not riding).
I said 'Steve Coogan, well I never expected that' to which he replied 'well I did','good to meet you' I replied and sped off.
I was quite chuffed I didn't say 'ah haaaaaaah' but since I've heard what an arse he can be I sought of wish I had as I sped past him without stopping ๐
Nigel Mansell presented me with my cycling proficiency at school
Then, 2 years later, he came to see me in hospital to give me a bollocking for nearly killing myself in a bike crash
Top man
Riding back from the gym in central Manchester, John Prescott nearly reversed his Jag over me after the Labour conference. Cheers John.
Only biking one I can think of was we almost ran Pete Postlethwaite over in Minton after I'd crashed coming down Minton Batch and broken my collarbone.
I was in the passenger seat of my car which a friend had gone to get while I limped down to the road.
Coming up the road into Minton, Pete and I think daughter were crossing the road, we pulled up sharply and there was his pretty distinctive mug looking back at us. By all accounts was a pretty familiar character in and around Church Stretton.
Amy Mcdonald while riding at Mugdock, Also Cameron McNeish from the Adventure show..not really celebs I suppose
