Where have you chaps/ lasses with young families been that's a good family holiday with riding on the side? Kids are 4 and 2 so limited in how far they can walk/ ride etc. Looking for over on't continent.
Summertime ? France. Loads of waymarked off road stuff in every Department. Winter ? Any of the Canaries. Lots of riding on all of the islands with guiding companies to show you around.

I would reccommend finale Ligure on the Italian Riviera, specialist hotels etc catering for kids.
However its a very long drive.
Maybe Morzine/Les Gets? lots to do there for kids and is a driveable distance.
Been looking at Morzine/ Les Gets but my wife isn't sure there's enough to keep them occupied. I agree the Med is a very long drive! We can break it up stopping at friends in Stuttgart.
