Trying to sort out a family holiday with some decent riding potential nearby, easily accessible (ie. direct flights) from central Scotland. Done Mallorca with the road bike several times, fancy something different.
The Riviera seems to tick all the boxes, either French side or down towards Liguria. Ticks all the boxes, we like South of France but wife also wants to go to Italy, riding is decent, fly into Nice and head in any direction.
Any personal recommendations on self catering places before I delve into the mire of Tripadvisor/Shitty self catering booking sites. Within a couple of hours of Nice airport, sleeps minimum of 6, either a pool or near to the sea. Not city centre, but equally nothing too remote as the in laws like to be somewhere they can get to and from a local town by leisurely stroll.
Or if not that area, happy to take other suggestions.
Aren't rivierabike in that area?
Stay in San Remo, do some excursions with them (good people).
Good shout, never even thought about trying some of the guiding companies. They don't have accommodation themselves that suits but they may be able to recommend some nearby, and get a couple of day trips in with them.
A cheeky bump for this, as I'm also looking to find a good location in Liguria for a self catering apartment. I've got a plan to book a week away with my mum, dad, boyfriend, brother and his wife, and sneak away for a day or two of XC-ish trail riding. Any suggestions?
