Anyone know any decent cycle routes round Grantown-on-spey / aviemore? Going to be up there this weekend and will be looking for a circular route about 5 miles that could be managed by kids - preferably with an ice-cream shop at the turning point!

Coylum Birdge -> Cairngorm Club Footbridge -> Lochan nan Geadas -> Southern shore of Loch Morlich -> Icecream at the FC Cafe in Glenmore -> Coylumbridge using the logging trail cycle track.

Mmm more like 10 miles though

Coylum Birdge -> Achnagoichan -> N Shore of Loch an Eilein -> Inverduie -> Coylumbridge using the logging trail cycle track.

Will be nearer 5 miles Icecream at Inverurie

Thanks - I'll check this one out - if weather is ok (ha ha) then could stretch it out to 10miles as long as ice cream is available!

What about Abernethy Forest? Park at Nethy Bridge community centre - walking path map on display opposite. Mix a few of those trails and you can get ice cream at the Spar.

Follow the Speyside Way to Loch Garten and back - that'll be about 5-ish miles.

Lots of tracks in the woods around Grantown too.
