There is a Reliability Ride on Sunday 14 Feb leaving the Falkland Village hall at 10am. The route will I understand go around the Ladybank Woods singletrack and beyond. Its a flattish 3 hoursish ride. A mellow pace, waiting on slower riders.
A good opportunity to get out and see some new trails. Entry is I think £5 and you'll get tea, sandwiches and cakes back at the hall.
Mukyriderz is it ??
I think Big Del is the routemeister, so yes-ish. They had a big turnout last year 40 riders or so.
What exactly is a reliability ride ???
Its a retro throwback event. Cyclists used to renew brake and gear cables and refit new parts at the begining of the season. Reliability rides were just shakedown rides to make sure everything worked.
There is a road reliablity ride too. My experience of those are simply a chance for riders to see who has done the most training over the winter and they basically rip each others legs off. The mountain bike ride is waaaaay more mellow.
Aye, road reliability rides, even with old or unimpressive-looking roadies tend to take a 'stragglers will be shot' vibe 🙂
