Does anyone have any idea how to extend the life of my 18" frame as I am on the point of looking ridiculous on the frame, and it is beginning to get a bit uncomfortable. I dont want to get rid of the frame as it is still in good condition and i know i will not get anywhere the amount i would like if i sold it.

stick it in the freezer?
or maybe embalm it in amber like the jurassic park films...

are your growing out of it or something?
its only a component, be pleased you have smashed it, buy a replacement, and hang it on the wall. 🙂
(that or lay back the post, & get a longer stem, but that makes bikes a bit nervous i find.
