Looking for something in Europe that is good for long singletrack descents, bits of technical stuff chucked in and maybe a few down hill runs. A bit of climbing is fine but combined with lifts or uplifts would be better. Nice accommodation would be good as I will be going with the wife, who will also be riding. Both of us a okay riders and will probably both be on longish travel hardtails, 120mm. We went with Switchbacks in Spain 3 years ago and had a good time, but that was probably at the upper end of our comfort/skill limits. Also took a bit of a battering on the hardtails. So something similar, if a bit easier would be great. Any recommendations?
Cheers

Not that I'm bias, but Kitzbuhel, Austria is the place you should be heading!
GARDA, GARDA, GARDA, stay at the north end of the lake. loads and loads of options. The tramalzo is a must do. You can either ride to the top or take a shuttle trailer from riva. seach lake garda on the web.
But maybe not for a few months......its dumping big style in the Alps - check out the webcams on chamonet.com
trailaddiction in les arcs, your description fits what they do perfectly and the trails are simply amazing.
You wont go far wrong with Bike Verbier, the new chalet is awesome and the location takes in all day epics. We did 6000 metres vertical decent on Katies birthday

Trail Addiction here.
Another big vote for Bike Verbier here. Mint holidays in every respect, and the new chalet opens up more options than ever in terms of where and what type of trails to ride, and whether or not to use lifts.
Trail Addiction or Joyriders here - both great!
Just got back from a week with Joyriders, really nice accomodation and friendly guides. Trails are not as steep as Switchbacks/Sierra Nevada and quieter by all accounts (from mates that have been with both now).
Cordoba side is nice smooth, fast & flowy singletrack, Zuheros side is rockier but some of the best trails I've ridden. Can't wait to go back! Reckon it'd be baking in summer though so maybe depends what time of year you want to go?
Another recommendation for Joyriders here. They match exactly with what you are looking for.
Fantastic accommodation, perfect for the other half too - as all rooms have en-suite bathrooms - pics
And amazing trails - all doable on a hardtail. pics
Thanks for all the recommendations. I should have said it would be for next summer.
GT tail centre 😀
