I am looking at doing the Etape Du Dales in May and was wondering if anyone on here had done it and got any advice?

Did it last year and will be doing it again in three weeks. I have not ridden a road bike very much so will be fun (again)!. A good ride though if the weather is good. How guys get round it in 5/6 hours I don't know.
Only advice is to set off as soon as you can so that you have all day to ride 'steady'. Also it was the first event I had done and didnt realise they feed you all the way round!
