Enough to bring a tear to your eye - what glasses?

What is the current glasses of choice to prevent watering eyes?
I’ve got a set of melon alleycats and they seem fine to a certain speed and then it feels like I may as well not be wearing them.

Obvious answer is goggles which I do wear on uplift days but don’t want to be wearing them for xc/trail type rides.

I wear decathlon special at a few quid each. Clear glasses and no issues with eyes streaming ever. I don't think I've got particularly sensitive eyes to that though.

I prefer cheap incase they get dropped/lost plus I'm also a cheapskate

I liked some smith glasses with inter changeable lenses.

Until, I broke an arm and smith could not have been any less interested in helping me fix my £££ glasses.

My mate swears by some uvex safety specks. Cheap, keep the wind and dirt out, super scratch resistant.

Oakley Jawbreaker for me, they fit nice with my helmet and have interchangeable lenses.
I got them very cheap from an Oakley store (I had been dragged to Cheshire oaks against my will but ended up buying more than partner or daughter) on Black Friday.

Oakley Jawbreaker for me

Me too. Probably very dependant on face shape but I find they block wind blast well and the adjustable arms mean I’ve had no clashes with helmet cradles etc. Shame they look a bit ridiculous but I can’t see them when I’m wearing them so meh.

OP It may not be a problem with the glasses but could be dry eyes. I have mild blepharitis and this blocks the tear ducts a touch leading to streaming eyes when I first start out on a ride. I get to manage it with hot compresses on my eyelids to clear things out and melt the fatty/oily blockages.
Get a good check up from an optician (Specsavers do this for me at my contact lens checks every 6 months).

I'm in the market for some clear riding gebs so it's good to know about the Melon's as they were on my shortlist.

As a serial breaker and loser of sunglasses I can't justify spending big bucks on a pair but if it's possible to avoid looking like a joiner whilst riding, that's a bonus.

i'd like to know what the biggest lensed glasses are that aren't eye-wateringly expensive, because I don't want to buy goggles but I increasing wear a full face.

I’ve done the Decathlon cheapies, Bollé safety specs and even Lidl/Aldi bargains but last year I was lucky enough to have some money when Oakley had a sale on so I bought some photochromic glasses and they are bloody brilliant. Well worth the expense.
