I have a treaded pedal on the righthand crank of my Shimano XT M770 9 Speed Chainset. Which is only 3 months old 🙁 need to replace the whole thing and that's just mad.
Does anyone know any firms which would be able to Heilcoil the pedal arm so I can fit my pedals again?
There's a place I used in Reading if thats any use, but I guess a crank might be harder to do as theres no flat surface to clamp perpendicular to the thread so it would have to be drilled and tapped by hand. You'll probably have the most luck trying motorbike repair shops, the more old skool the better. Pay anythign from £5 to £30 depending on how generous theyre feeling.
