These little brass (?) inserts for screws:

I need to know what they are called so I can order them from somewhere. I have a raw 3d printed seatpost mount and I assume I need to tap these into the material so I can screw on the Garmin quarter turn adaptor

Or heat fix insert nuts. It's quite common in 3D printing land to balance them over the hole then heat them up by pressing a soldering iron against them, waiting for them to get good and hot and then pushing them in.

With 3D prints with the normal amount of infill a conventional insert nut for wood does the job too.

I’d google ‘threaded insert’ or ‘knurled insert’ there’s bajillions about.
