I have been using a 50/50 of Fruit juice and water and a bit of salt as an alternative to an Energy drink.It seems to be lighter on the system (No stomache probs etc unles you use prune juice!) probably due to the lack of some chemicals etc, and appears better than plain water.
What are your recipies ? (tried and tested with no adverse side effects!!)
Same as you really. Fruit juice, water, teaspoon of salt and one of sugar.
I even like the taste!

I second that, and no artificial sweetners.
And a simple glass of milk for a recovery drink.
Energy drink sounds fine! or even just squash with a bit of salt.
I'd need 1.5 pints of straight milk to get enough protein as a recovery drink though! Not easy to stomach within ten minutes of exercise ๐
