Hi all,
Usually I get the gravel bike and SS out in the winter, but this year I seem to be really missing riding tech stuff since it went all wet ๐Ÿ™

I tend to avoid my favourite local tech DH riding places (ilkley moor, chevin, Hebden Bridge) when it's wet around here. They are sensitive areas at the best of times and I don't want to be responsible for being a dick and damaging them in the winter (and they are also generally not a lot of fun in the wet due to bog factor either)

So I'm looking for new localish haunts around leeds area (<1hr driving, hopefully<45 mins). Obviously there's LUBP, which is OK, but I prefer off piste moorland/woodland type riding than the jump lines of LUBP

Wharnecliffe? Grenoside? They are the only places I can think of. Not been there in years though. Anywhere else I'm missing?

PS stainburn also OK in the wet on the official stuff, but a bit limited in scope.

Wharncliffe is the obvious answer as you suspected. Close to the motorway and lots to go at.
