Shimano's Primula Tech bearing in the road Bottom Bracket have given up the ghost. Do the enduro fork seals ones need the top hats like the Utterly-Butterly Shimano Ones? Has anyone found a cheaper alternative to this swap? In a perfect works I'd be rushing off and finding a Hope one and wacking it in, but is there a cheaper alternative?

My enduro ones were pish tbh- didn't last as long as a new deore, cost more. No top hat from what I recall, just the bearing and a seemingly completely ineffectual red outer shield
No top hats as the inner race is 24mm instead of 25mm. Mine have been fine this past year and still spin like new.

Mixed views on Enduro. Might get the grease out and save up for a hope.
The new enduro bottom bracket seems to be getting rav reviews. The bearings actually require preload which is how a lot of people kill bottom brackets too early.
I've got hopes on the rest of the fleet, and got the bearing removing kit to fix them when they wear out. I discoverdd this morning it was the non drive side thats gone rough So I'd prefer to remove these bearings and replace but it's those stupd plastic top hats which I don't like. Do Phil Woods bearings need top hats?
