Durability v moisture and comfort to wear etc?

Mainly concerned with letting water in but not feeling like your wearing something stiff.

I read a few posts on STW (back 2yrs though) on that- have they improved?

Is this a recent issue for you?

I have the attacks, done a year and going strong. They are the 3/4 and are comfy for me, better fit than endura and I cdon't fidn them stiff. I have generally found my altura stuff wears better than endura. I commute daily so they all have plenty of use.

Mates attacks have gone on the zips though he got them cheap so could have been older stock.

Attacks were comfy but the aris didn't last the year on mine. Superlights are less well fitting for me, but seem durable. I've snagged them a few times swinging the leg over the bike which doesn't do the seams any favours - this is down to personal fit though.
I only get them out when it's raining with bad intentions, they're not a light short for wearing when it's a bit drizzly, but feel very good when the mud and grime is in full effect.

My Attacks also only lasted a few months before the taped seams disintegrated. I've since gone with Gore waterproof shorts & they're brilliant.

To balance it out my enduras broke on the seam on the first ride. Despite that ill be taking them back to get a replacement as funactionall and fit wise theyre awesome.

On my third pair of Attacks, they always give out at the crotch seam.

Merlin and Altura have been brilliant with warranty though, and every pair of waterproof shorts I've had do the same.

Only used Endura Superlites and they're brilliant.
On past experience, Endura is better than Altura for quality on "eqivalent" kit, and you pay for it.

Endura customer service is good too, I've had 3 pairs of Strike gloves replaced so far...

Had a pair of Superlites, they ripped at the gusset seam in next to no time.

Fed up with Endura stuff falling apart, I decided to try a pair of Attacks, as I've an Altura jersey that has served me well for years. Lo and behold, the pocket zip on the shorts is knackered after less than a dozen outings.

If I could afford it, I'd buy one of the Gore offerings.

Had both and neither stay waterproof for that long. Although I'm now thinking that the camo fabrix Bel Air doesn't help as it's like sitting on a sponge.

The Attacks delaminated too.
