We've booked a couple of days on the Isle of Eigg and are planning to take bikes. Has anyone been, and should we take cross bikes, or fat bikes? I mean are there routes that would make the fat bikes worth taking or is everything cycle-able cyclocross bike friendly?

Its not much of a bike island tbh - six and two threes. The fat bike may be better for the two tracks and the beaches but the cx bike better for the road in between. On balance fat bike but better explored on foot

Thanks. Luggage is in a bike trailer so bikes are coming. I'd already put the fatties in the car and suddenly had doubts. I'll probably stick with them.
