Could anyone suggest one? For Mrs Tyred, who's not keen mixing it in traffic.

Been years since I lived in Fountainbridge but would the canal towpath not fit that bill perfectly? Well. Its not from the city centre but not far off?

I think there's a cycle route between the Meadows and King's buildings - would that do?

There's lots of quiet roads south of the meadows, all she has to do is get to the north end of the main cyclepath, which will have to be in traffic AFAIK (where is her start?)

Or there's the long way round - innocent railway through Holyrood Park then Craigmillar Castle Park. It's not exactly cycle friendly around Cameron Toll itself.
