Am heading to Glasgow later, thinking of pedalling it.
Is there a decent route where I won't get lost, have to pedal through lots of busy towns etc?
A8 doesn't look too bad...
Other than the Forth-Clyde canal?
Look at the 'Pedal for Scotland' website. Massive Glasgow to Edin charity ride next week and the route is online.
Here we go. Bottom right of page for map.

The canal surely must be the best option ?
Thanks. Canal would be slow and muddy, I am looking to do it fairly quickly and not to turn up covered in shite

mudguards + pedal faster ?
i'll get me coat.
Finish the plastering and drive. Is this the same kitchen project that was going to complete by Christmas 08?
**** driving, I'll get the train/bus. It's hosing it down over there apparently.
Yes Pete it's that project.
The canal the last time i rode it was all hardpack stuff. Not really muddy.
canal is ok but you can never really get shifting on it - its also not that direct - esp the east end.
Canal will also be quite busy over the weekend - remember your bell!
Some sections of the canal get slow and sticky when wet.
