Am thinking of a set for my road bike. OK stupid money but they will give you ridiculously light wheels...any comments on strength etc?

32psi maximum pressure, not great on the road...

They do seem impressive though, I don't actually know anyone who's trashed a set.

They're being replaced for 2010 by the ZTR Podium MMX, there's also going to be a Stan's 700c road/CX specfic rim, I'd wait for those.

Nope that's just for mtb tyres, or so JRA told moi,

Seems silly I could easily spaff £400 on other bits of my bike to save weight.

What? It's because the rims will crack down the middle theoretically, it's certainly higher for narrow tyres, but it's still not 100psi. And you can get light road rims anyway, why would you bother?

I wouldn't bother, seems pretty daft IMO.

That's just daft. No matter what type of tyre is mounted the max pressure is 32psi. A road tyre is still going to have the same pressure in it as a mtb tyre although the road one will be softer.

The rims can't take more pressure - you risk cracking the material if you do. I'd go with some 355's if you need higher pressure but there still only rated up to 45psi.

Can you? Such as?

Offroading, here's what JRA said:

The rim pressure limits (except Race 7000) are because of the tyres
weakness when used tubeless and not to do with the rim.
