I'm orf work both days and my only commitment so far is on Friday afternoon (3pm). I might be available Thursday, but that kinda depends on what happens on Wednesday night...

I have no car, so might have to be a ride in the soggy(!) Pentlands unless someone's able to give me a lift ๐Ÿ˜‰

Post up if you're about, cheers.

When do you normally hear - do you get much notice?

Short notice - could be as little as an hour - but I do have the opportunity to say no.

If I'm home and the missus isn't, I could probably do something on Monday. I have a car for travel too.

I was hoping to get out at some point this holiday weekend - can get another two with bikes in the car.

Unfortunately off south this weekend, unless the border's closed thanks to winters return...

Will need to see what the weather does, chaps. Will play it by ear over the next few days.

Might be interested on a Monday ride unless the weather is beyond the pale...

(That's if imposters fae Fife are allowed)

Tomorrow is looking unlikely for me now, so how about a Monday ride?

I will be riding friday as the forecast is the best of the weekend - probably a flatland circuit due to the snow that I can see in the hills.
No reason why not to get out on Monday as well tho

I'll be out tomorrow at some point when I get up. Hoping worst of snow is gone over the weekend.

I think I'll be out and about tomorrow but I don't have much expectation of the riding being any good at all ๐Ÿ™‚ But that's OK, I'll just stick the rigids in the soul and mince about for a bit of exercise I guess.

Anyone still up for heading to the Pentlands? If not are there any decent gps routes someone could send me? Will go and see if it's rideable.

Ta

Assuming this means Saturday then I will be on (whisper it) a road run, assuming weather like today, but would still be interested in a Monday run on the rough.

The Pentlands today were, essentially, unrideable today. There will have to be a major thaw over the weekend to allow a decent route to be picked out. Maybe abandon the idea for Monday's ride ๐Ÿ™

Yeah I gave it a go as well but had to turn back fairly early on because of the snow. Still managed a decent ride although mostly on road, lovely day for it.

I had a very nice 30 mile flatland offroad ride today - canal / railway line / shoreline.

I know a number of flatland route and would be happy to show folk around them on Monday.

Not gnarly mountainbiking - more ambient jeycore lite

From a distance the Pents are looking a lot better today?

I stuck to tarmac and towpaths etc. at the weekend as well. I even had a spin along NCR75 to Livingston which I'd not been on for a few years. It's certainly more interesting on the mountain bike and when I'm not in a hurry commuting (when I tended to ignore it and stick to the main roads).
