Im considering giving a tt a go but would be interested in seeing what time I can achieve before I turn up to a club meet. Can anyone share the route that folks use, as I can't think of many flatish 10 mile routes in my vicinity. All my usual rides have an awful lot of climbing involved.

Wallyford > Longniddry (roundabout) and return (Musselburgh RCC 10)
Cheers folks. Geex, don't suppose you have a GPS do you?
Scots.. That doesn't look very fast!
Cheers Gary. I was looking for that one on Strava too but missed it 😕
On the Strava section there is a dude that has a best time of 25 min that judging by his other Strava times is way faster than me!
I'd be lucky to break 30 min on that course!
That doesn’t look very fast!
Get out there then!!!
You don't need a GPS. it's been their route since way before GPS was a thing.
start about 700yds after the roundabout on the A198. finish pretty much the same place.
It's probably on that new fangled Strava thing
Get out there then!!
I meant a fast route. If the best time is 22.5 min then I'll struggle to beat 30 on my road bike!
That's answered your question then and I've saved you from embarrassing yourself 😉
Or ride it and see if you are also faster than you expected.
Both Musselburgh RCC and Edinburgh RC have changed their club TT routes in recent years.
Musselburgh are now riding east of Longniddry on this circuit - https://www.strava.com/segments/14583993?filter=overall
Edinburgh RC are using an out and back course on the old A1 (A199) east of Tranent - https://www.strava.com/segments/9698721
A new course record for Edinburgh RC's Saltire 10 TT was set a couple of weeks ago - 20:57.
