I have one on a hardtail & am seeing odd storys about them breaking ... anybody had any adverse adventures with them?
Mine is brand new so latest CNT spec no aluminium coloured mount etc.

Got one on a bike and its gettign more and more tatty, about 3 years old now. Get nervous everytime I look at it... 😮

I snapped one of the older ones you mentioned, got a new one on warranty. It's been fitted for a year and it's fine.
just snapped one last week at CYB - clean break by the seat clamp, it is was three years old, pretty tatty, well used and creaked a lot on the day it broke
Yeah everyone fretts about carbon. I had a Kiwi tiller and extension on my Laser sailing dingy. I fell on it, stood on it, wrapped round the mast, caught between another boat, hung off it while the boat capsized and abused that length of carbon and the damn thing was fine.
