[Closed] Easton Road Hub - Freehub Service Suggestions

The hub froze up the other day (no drive), so I assumed it would be
1. Skewers out
2. Allen keys in either side
3. Disassemble, clean & dry, light oil/ptfe spray
4. Reassemble

BUT allen keys don't fit, the skewers sit in a smooth bore.

Any suggestions? ultimately LBS will sort, but I don't want to get caught out on the trail again, so need to know.

I'm sure the hub type would be beneficial for an accurate answer but in the meantime you might want to have a quick gander at Easton's downloadable PDF page...

If there is no obvious way that the end caps are secured then generally they will just pull off and the freehub should do the same.

You guys are right on the money again. The Easton manual showed the job perfectly (when I found the right one). Devilishly tricky and not a trailside repair.

If all only all hubs were made by Hope.

Nice one. Many thanks.
