First of 3 annual rideouts of the FB East Lothian Mountainbiking Group,

Sunday 4th September. the now annual Longniddry- Gullane - Longniddry loop Social rideout; an easy days ride...
Meet to rideout at approx 11am from Longniddry Railway Station car park,
Sunday trains will be running from Edinburgh , check times...

Same as last year except avoiding Gosford house and ponds being a big group,
got another route sorted through to Aberlady,
trails to Gullane, up the hill for views, around the coast and stop at Gosford Cafe for food/cake/tea/coffee,

Ride what you brung; fatbikes, tandems, cross bikes, vintage mtbs, and the regular bling...
This will be a big group ride so it wont be Blitzkrieg speed, distance a lazy paced 18 miles ish,
wheelies, hip flasks, sweeties optional, but encouraged -:)

See you on the beach then this winter Davesport

Be good to see you paulG 🙂

recced a nettle free route yest (honest!) and avoiding a few short trails with lots of fallen trees and serious flooding, to keep the tandem and the mob rolling etc..

Unfortuantly the postmans walk is overgrown with nettles that satan must have grown, 24 hours later and shins are still on fire 8O, so leave this out this time,
roll on autumn!

Deeply regret being unable to make this , or any other, ride. Driving back yesterday & the Pentlands were clear as a cut amethyst*

Still, hope springs eternal for later on... Must get out in the purple haze before it goes. Have a good one, squad.

As Stanfree said, really good ride out with a new group of people, always nice to met forum folk for real... There was a "Bloat" of Pugsleys and the worlds only "Womens Pugsley Display Team" put on a fine display

[img] [/img]

Weather was ace

[img] [/img]

After such an intense ride one of the team had to order a recovery snack and an electrolyte post ride drink,

[img] [/img]

Pastry wrapped pony flesh floating in a vegetable and tomato foam with a brown sauce jus...

[img] [/img]

So all in all, a great ride,

Thanks to Coast Kid for organising...
