Are the end caps from a boost xd hub the same as from a micro spline boost hub? Found wheels I like but they have xd free hub and xd cassettes are unavailable, can get DT micro spline freehub bit not sure whether I can reuse the end caps.

No, they're all different unfortunately, as I found out recently.

Meh, that's annoying and more expensive then.

Freehub (driver bodies) come with the appropriate endcaps

Yeah they're expensive too. Pedalon were cheapest when I bought mine.

what cassette are you looking for/wanting?

Planning on going 12 speed and can't find anything xd compatible in the uk, avoiding the random eBay/amazon ones as guessing they're not going to be great. So microspline and slx cassette looks to be the way forward.

Ive just bought a microspline DT Swiss freehub and yes you need the correct end cap

Everywhere in the UK wanted £75+ for both

Lordgun in Italy wanted £50-£55 for both (dont have the receipt to hand) as my whole order was below £135 (also got a Wolthtooth dropper remote for £55) there are no import duties to pay and they add UK vat at point of sale so the price you see is the price you pay (plus shipping)

Are the wheels standard ratchet or the new Ratchet EXP?

They use different freehubs.
