In the quest to find a comfy road saddle to suit my bum, i was considering setting up my turbo as a test mule to try & compare different saddles. I've always found changing saddles to be a bit footery to fit and get the right angle, especially ones with two bolts like thomsons, therefore a wee bit time consuming. So i'm looking for a 'quick' system that makes changing over the saddle easier. Any recommendations for a single bolt or quick and easy seatpost. Weight not important but price is.

Would buying a spare seatpost be easier for an easy compare and contrast?

SDG I-Beam would appear to offer a better option for you, though it limits the range of saddles available.

limits the range of saddles available.

…to pretty much zero, if you want something comfy, for road riding.

Assuming you want a layback seat post any single bolt cheap seatpost will be the quickest solution. Should be able to get a kalloy for £10.

Just a note I don't tend to find the turbo to be truly reflective of road riding conditions for the bottom. it's not a bad way to test it but not fully reliable.
