Had a great days riding with friends at Drumlanrig today...
the golden Autumn colour basked in sunshine was amazing...

after a heavy nights rain and high winds the trails were blanketed in wet leaves which left the trails in a wet leaf, cant see the wet slippy roots,2 wheel sliding kind of way!, just loosen your grip and let the bike float over them....

afterwards we had a brew joined by the man Rik himself responsible for helping create a great trail...then it was home as the sun set on those rolling hills...what an ace day...

this place is seriously underated...

I rode Kirroughtree today but was wondering how it was riding. If we have half decent weather I think I'll have to have a ride some time this week. Great photos.

Rode Drumlanrig for the first time last weekend, the trails were just the nice side of damp and rode really well. I was very impressed with the quality, they are just the sort of trial I would love as local trails. The thick covering of leaves caused a few "whoa, where did the trail go" moments.

Had a slip and slide round kirroughtree on Tuesday and to say it was wet would be an understatement. Should have taken the kayak, as Palnure burn was "humping"

Bruce - I see you opted out of taking the Pugsley...

Glad you enjoyed it, I rode it on 2nd Jan 2009 for the first and only time and loved it. Today was spent taking a friend round his first trail centre - Innerleithen - I would have joined you lot otherwise.

Very jealous. Rode at Mabie today as time was limited. Drum is my favourite round this way and has proper rooty singletrack. Rik makes a good brew if you don't mind the taste of GT45 in your tea.

Rode Ae on Fri. Amazingly wet. It was drizzling as we arrived and then it chucked it down. We were wetter than a mermaids bathing costume by the time we were finished but the trail was still very good. The surface held up well and apart from a few deep puddles in some low areas it was all rideable. Unsurpisingly we were not fighting for spaces in the car-park!

Dogsby - was that your first time at Ae? Did you like the new bits and the refurbishments on the trail and did you ride down The Shredder?
