Having always ridden hardtails and BMX before that I thought I was basically the dogs danglies at bunnyhops and used to pride myself on my abiity to out bunyhop decent sized logs, streams etc, however...
Having moved on to riding a zesty I'm having difficulty! I just don't feel comfortable doing it any more. Obviously the bounce takes out some of the energy of the 'spring' you need in your legs to lift the bike up, but is this a problem I have to live with or will I be able to bunnyhop again no problems and it will be just a case of refining my old technique to suit the FS?
cheers guys
Pre-load the suspension - press down more before you try to lift.
Bunny-hopping a FS is definitely more problematic than a BMX or a hard-tail. The suspension takes the kick out of your movements and you have to compensate for it. You don't need to do anything radically different - just change the timing a bit (a bit slower) and maybe make your initial down-push a bit more aggressive to bottom-out the suspension and take it out of the equation to an extent.
I always found it easier to bunnyhop a FS
I certainly find it harder to do a wheelie on a FS bike than my HT bunnyhopping is slightly deminished but the landing is softer!

You may be running your rebound a little bit too quick then IMO...
Harder by far if you have your rebound damping set well. IMO and E
I find I have problems with bunnyhopping even with just suspension forks. I'm alright at them with my bmx but crap on the mtb.
that's pish coffeeking. it's your O and E that needs setting well ๐
