I fitted a component to my ht before the ride I had a few months back where I tore the rotator cuff in my shoulder. Which is still taking ages to recover from.

Now getting the fs put back together and thinking of taking "the component that shall not be named" off the ht as it/they are nice and shiny.....after having only been used once!

However,I can't but help think I am importing bad karma onto the fs by doing so!

Am I the only weirdo that thinks this way?🤔

No.

I have a BMX that has tried to kill me. Twice now.

I keep it as there aren't many genuine gateways to the pits of Hell available for sale these days.
I may pass it on to a neice or nephew I particularly dislike.

Being completely new to carbon, and entirely non-religious. I've felt like saying a prayer every time I've taken my new carbon forked Arkose out this week!

I've now slowly achieved confidence with it after a few bumps off kerbs and rumbles through rough stuff. It was just weird having that plasticky bit upfront initially! 😆

I got rid of a Trek Fuel that was cursed. Tried to kill me a couple of times and bits would fall off it for no discernible reason.

I broke my wrist falling off an old hand-me-down Giant Anthem about 6 months into my MTB career.

Post recovery I had one very cautious ride on it before replacing the frame with a slightly less old Soul from the classifieds here.

Ostensibly this was because the Anthem's head angle was too steep, but it was partially a reaction to the broken wrist too I think.

Not a part but an accessory , a grubby ,fluro-yellow water bottle - I haven't stacked it since I bought it ,the nozzle gave up the other day. Better stock up on bandages.....
