Well my Helius is creaking so it's service time I've got all the drawings / diagrams off Nicolai thanks to my new German best friend Volker but he mentioned buying some tools for 42 euro my question is do I buy them as it's not a fortune but do I need them or can I use 'other' tools ?
I know there's a few Nicolai riders on here so your advice would be great

Nope, all the bearings and bushings were easily changeable in my Helius CC with a home made press (stud, washers and nuts) and the appropriately sized socket.
If you’re in London I can lend you some. They possible make some of it easier but as above probably not entirely necessary.
Thanks captaindanger but I'm in Nottingham, I assumed it wouldn't be too hard seems a 15mm socket, threaded bar and some washers and nuts is mostly what I need just hoped that was the case

Tools can also he had from Geometron bikes. There's an axle removal tool (just a drift) that's handy for getting the axles in and out for £20
Edit - Your Helius might be ifferent to the Ion series that the Geometrons are based on

No special tools required. You should be fine with what you have.
And what if you can't get these ****g grub screws out !!??
Unscrew the main hex bolt from the opposite side to the grub screw. This will allow you to remove the bolt and the bushing/ bearing caps. Pop the cap with the grub screw into a vice to remove the grub screw, perhaps by screwing it clockwise all the way through the cap. You can pick up replacement grub screws at any fastenings supplier, it sounds like yours might be borked.
